ふたりのためにくじを引くと、くじはマッテヤに当たった...

　そこで、彼らは、バルサバと呼ばれ別名をユストというヨセフと、
マッテヤとのふたりを立てた。
そして、こう祈った。
「すべての人の心を知っておられる主よ。
この務めと使徒職の地位を継がせるために、
このふたりのうちのどちらをお選びになるか、お示しください。
ユダは自分のところへいくために脱落していきましたから。」
　そしてふたりのためにくじを引くと、くじはマッテヤに当たったので、
彼は十一人の使徒たちに加えられた。

　So they proposed two men:
Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias.　
Then they prayed,
“Lord, you know everyone's heart.
Show us which of these two you have chosen
to take over this apostolic ministry,
which Judas left to go where he belongs.”
 Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias;
so he was added to the eleven apostles.
