聖霊が...　預言された聖書のことばは、成就しなければならなかったのです

　そのころ、百二十名ほどの兄弟たちが集まっていたが、
ペテロはその中に立ってこう言った。
「兄弟たち。イエスを捕らえた者どもの手引きをしたユダについて、
聖霊がダビデの口を通して預言された聖書のことばは、
成就しなければならなかったのです。

　実は詩篇には、こう書いてあるのです。
『彼の住まいは荒れ果てよ、そこには住む者がいなくなれ。』
また、『その職は、ほかの人に取らせよ。』　
　ですから、主イエスが私たちといっしょに生活された間、
すなわち、ヨハネのバプテスマから始まって、
私たちを離れて天に上げられた日までの間、
いつも私たちと行動をともにした者の中から、だれかひとりが、
私たちとともにイエスの復活の証人とならなければなりません。」

  In those days Peter stood up among the believers
(a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) and said,
“Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago
through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus―

 “For,”said Peter,“it is written in the book of Psalms,
“ 'May his place be deserted;
  let there be no one to dwell in it,'
and, “ 'May another take his place of leadership.'
Therefor it is necessary to choose one of the men
who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
beginning from John's baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us.
For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.”
