About Jesus of Nazareth

ナザレ人イエスのことです

　イエスは彼らに言われた。
「歩きながらふたりで話し合っているその話は、何のことですか。」
すると、ふたりは暗い顔つきになって、立ち止まった。
　クレパというほうが答えて言った。
「エルサレムにいながら、近ごろそこで起こった事を、あなただけが知らなかったのですか。」
　イエスが、「どんな事ですか」と聞かれると、ふたりは答えた。
「ナザレ人イエスのことです。
この方は、神とすべての民の前で、行いにもことばにも力のある預言者でした。
それなのに、私たちの祭司長や指導者たちは、
この方を引き渡して、死刑に定め、十字架につけたのです。

  He asked them,
“What are you discussing together as you walk along?”　
They stood still, their faces downcast.
One of them, named Cleopas, asked him
“Are you only a visitor to Jerusalem and do not know the things
that have happened there in these days? ”
“What things?” he asked.
“About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied.
“He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all people.
The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death,
and they crucified him;
