the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to poor...

主はわたしに油をそそぎ、貧しい者に良い知らせを伝え...

　神である主の霊が、私の上にある。
主はわたしに油をそそぎ、
貧しい者に良い知らせを伝え、
心の傷ついた者をいやすために、
わたしを遣わされた。
捕らわれ人には解放を、囚人には釈放を告げ、
　主の恵みの年と、
われわれの神の復讐の日を告げ、
すべての悲しむ者を慰め、
　シオンの悲しむ者たちに、
灰の代わりに頭の飾りを、
悲しみの代わりに喜びの油を、
憂いの心の代わりに賛美の外套を
着けさせるためである。　
彼らは、義の樫の木、
栄光を現す主の植木と呼ばれよう。

　The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me 
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
  to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
  and provide for those who grieve in Zion―
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
and the garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
 They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
