Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory!

私を大いに祝福し、私の地境を広げてくださいますように

　ヤベツはイスラエルの神に呼ばわって言った。
「私を大いに祝福し、私の地境を広げてくださいますように。
御手が私とともにあり、わざわいから遠ざけて
私が苦しむことのないようにしてくださいますように。」
そこで神は彼の願ったことをかなえられた。

　Jabez cried out to the God of Israel,
 “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory!
Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm
so that I will be free from pain.”
