May it be to me as you have said

どうぞ、あなたのおことばどおりこの身になりますように

　ところで、その六か月目に、御使いガブリエルが、神から遣わされてガリラヤのナザレという町のひとりの処女のところに来た。
 　この処女は、ダビデの家系のヨセフという人のいいなずけで、名をマリヤといった。
　御使いは、入ってくると、マリヤに言った。「おめでとう、恵まれた方。主があなたとともにおられます。」
　しかし、マリヤはこのことばに、ひどくとまどって、これはいったい何のあいさつかと考え込んだ。
　すると御使いが言った。「こわがることはない。マリヤ。あなたは神から恵みを受けたのです。
　ご覧なさい。あなたはみごもって、男の子を産みます。名をイエスとつけなさい。
　その子はすぐれた者となり、いと高き方の子と呼ばれます。また、神である主は彼にその父ダビデの王位をお与えになります。
　彼はとこしえにヤコブの家を治め、その国は終わることがありません。
　そこでマリヤは御使いに言った。「どうしてそのようなことになりえましょう。私はまだ男の人を知りませんのに。」
　御使いは答えて言った。「聖霊があなたの上に臨み、いと高き方の力があなたをおおいます。それゆえ、生まれる者は、聖なる者、神の子と呼ばれます。
　ご覧なさい。あなたの親類のエリサベツも、あの年になって男の子を宿しています。不妊の女といわれていた人なのに、今はもう六か月です。
　神にとって不可能なことは一つもありません。」
マリヤは言った。「ほんとうに、私は主のはしためです。どうぞ、あなたのおことばどおりこの身になりますように。」　こうして御使いは彼女から去っていった。

   In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
  Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.
But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
  “How will this be,”  Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
   The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.  Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month.
   For nothing is impossible with God.”
   “I am the Lord's servant,” Mary answered.
“May it be to me as you have said.” Then the angel left her.
