Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom has favor rests

いと高き所に、栄光が、神にあるように。地の上に平和が、御心にかなう人々にあるように。

すると、たちまち、その御使いといっしょに、
多くの天の軍勢が現れて、神を賛美して言った。

 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel,
praising God and saying,
   “Glory to God in the highest,
     and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”
