'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.

『神は言われる。終わりの日に、わたしの霊をすべての人に注ぐ。

　そこで、ペテロは十一人とともに立って、
声を張り上げ、人々にはっきりとこう言った。
「ユダヤの人々、ならびにエルサレムに住むすべての人々。
あなたがたに知っていただきたいことがあります。どうか、私のことばに耳を貸して下さい。
　今は朝の九時ですから、あなたがたの思っているようにこの人たちは酔っているのではありません。
　これは、預言者ヨエルによって語られた事です。
『神は言われる。
終わりの日に、わたしの霊をすべての人に注ぐ。
すると、あなたがたの息子や娘は預言し、青年は幻を見、老人は夢を見る。
その日、わたしのしもべにも、はしためにも、わたしの霊を注ぐ。すると、彼らは預言する。
また、わたしは、上は天に不思議なわざを示し、下は地にしるしを示す。
それは、血と火と立ち上る煙である。
主の大いなる輝かしい日が来る前に、太陽はやみとなり、月は血に変わる。
しかし、主の名を呼ぶ者は、みな救われる。』

　Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd:
“Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you;
listen carefully to what I say.
 These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning!
No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
 “ 'In the last days, God says,
  I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
  Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream   dreams.
  Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.
  I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.
  The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
  And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'
